| Community: Death and Dying Cemetery Tour |
|
Event Description Take a walk - if you dare - on a cemetery tour! A certified, costumed guide will give a tour of the oldest building in Bethlehem, the 1741 Gemeinhaus to learn about the early Moravians, their early medical care and communal way of life. After exploring the building and witnessing a period Death Tray, escape out doors to hear the story of the Corpse House, the Old Chapel, and early death and funeral practices in our city. End the tour at the oldest cemetery in the city, to learn about important early citizens. It is the only tour, to allow access into the 1741 Gemeinhaus, the oldest building in Bethlehem and a National Historic Landmark.
