Recent research carried out in Sweden and in the U.S. suggests important changes, that families in which men join women in caring for their homes and children are more stable, have more children, and are happier and have better sex lives. Is this the future?

Dr. Goldscheider is Professor Emerita of Sociology at Brown University, Professor at the U. of Maryland, and Faculty Associate for the Maryland Population Research Center. She is renowned for her research and publications in the areas of family, fatherhood, demography of households, gender roles, ethnicity, and transition to adulthood.
