The Africana Studies Program presents the “Compelling Careers and Africana Studies," a panel discussion about the ways in which multiculturalism shapes and informs a wide range of careers including media, entertainment, marketing, and advertising.

This year’s panelists include Issa Rae, producer, writer, and director of the famous web series "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl" (ABG) and Cecil Williams and Raphael Saye of Royal Dynamite, Inc, an e-commerce t-shirt line that has partnered with ABG to produce fan favorite designs and with every t-shirt sold an educational package is sold via their RDCares program.
