Other Event Details: Hurricane Sandy was the second most powerful hurricane in recent history and the most devastating to hit the Northeast U.S. ever. Over 100 lives were lost. Is this a once-in-a-lifetime event, is or it a harbinger of things to come in a changing global climate? Is our aging infrastructure becoming more vulnerable to storms like this? How can we prepare ourselves and society to make us more resilient to future storms?
