Event Description Rainforests like the Amazon support outstanding biological diversity with potential for pharmaceuticals, tourism and spiritual rejuvenation. Dr. Mark Plotkin will discuss the
current state of biological conservation in the Amazon and the importance of involving
indigenous cultures in conservation programs.

The Amazon Conservation Team has been highly effective in protecting biological diversity and indigenous culture in the Amazon since its creation in 1996. |
