Malaria causes between 600,000 and 1,000,000 deaths per year, primarily among African children. In this talk, Dr. Johnston examines how antimalarial drugs might be used to interrupt the cycle of transmission, both at the within-host and population level, using mathematical modeling and consideration of socioeconomic drivers of behavior.
